In 2020, Gillian played numerous roles in UNDER MILK WOOD at The National Theatre, London alongside Michael Sheen, and Sian Phillips.
Gillian is currently a Narrator in the ABC ( Academy of Barmy Composers) show for Primary school children, and is touring around Wales with Mark Llywelyn Evans and Top Opera Singers to show the story of Opera, performing all these colourful composers in a comical, humorous and entertaining way.
She continues to entertain live audiences with her incorrigible creation Mrs OTT and presented the delightful dog lovers’ documentary Pobol y Cŵn on S4C.
Fans of Billy Elliot will recognise Gillian as ‘Grandma’ who she played in the West End for five years.
She recently featured in the BAFTA Award winning series BANG (Series 1) on S4C as well as the spine-chiller series HIDDEN (Series 1). In S4C’s popular courtroom Drama 35 AWR, Gillian played the unforgettable Val.
Gillian toured with Karen Diamond’s Company Re-live, in the highly acclaimed play BELONGING.
A talented singer, Gillian has recorded four CD’s comprising musical theatre and popular songs, in both Welsh and English, and has appeared in several pantomimes nationwide.
It’s been a busy year already for Gillian as she headed an all-female cast in TIC TOC, a musical about a reunion for a group of Factory Workers from South Wales, which opened at Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff followed by a tour of Wales.
Gillian will be back in Aberystwyth in Theatr y Werin this Summer Season as part of the cast in BRASSED OFF.
