BIOGRAPHY

Manon was one of the founders of Theatr West Glam touring for more than a decade throughout Wales with the company’s very popular TIE and community productions. She  joined Clwyd Theatr Cymru’s first rep company performing in “Equus” “The Journey of Mary Kelly” and “A Christmas Carol” and is an Associate Member of the company. Last year she toured with “Wyneb Dros Dro” (Cwmni 3D) and is about to join Frapestus for a tour of “The Good The Bad and the Welsh”.  She has also appeared in many TV and film productions including “Streic” “Holby City” “The Bench” “Lois” “Nice Girls” “Cowbois & Injans” “Ar y Tracs 2”  and more recently “Talking to the Dead” for Sky. She played DI Williams for several years on “Pobol y Cwm”. She is also an experienced presenter and co-presented the gardening programme “Clwb Garddio” for ten years.

Manon is also a writer and has written several series for S4C including “Y Stafell Ddirgel”, “Treflan”, and the film “Eldra” which won 5 BAFTA Cymru Awards in 2000. She has also written for the stage – adapting Alexander Cordell’s  “Rape of the Fair Country” “Hosts of Rebecca” “ Song of the Earth” for Clwyd Theatr Cymru as well as writing the original plays “Porth y Byddar/Drowned Out” (2007/8). She was Writer in Residence with the National Youth Theatre of Wales for three years, and has written four radio plays for BBC Radio Cymru. She currently writes for “Pobol y Cwm” and “Gwaith Cartref” and has a screenplay and theatre project in development.
